Intelligent Health Systems' Pharmacy Management System provides the pharmacy department with simplified entry of physicians' pharmaceutical orders into the patient profile, including interaction, duplication and allergy checking.
Features Include:
Order Entry
- Allows quick entry by the utilization of drug mnemonics.
- Utilizes facility-defined administration times.
- Allows for default SIGs.
- Allows entry of WildCard SIG for non-standard administration times.
- Allows entry of pre-defined or free-form messages for each order.
- Auto-calculates Stop Date/Time based on SIG and duration.
- Durations may be defined in days or units. Maintains profiles for Medication, Piggyback and IV Admixture orders.
Charge/Credit
- Allows for the charge/credit of medications by order number or service code.
- Allows for the reprint of labels with or without charging.
Standing Order Set Entry
- Allows order to be grouped and stored in sets to provide quick order entry.
Stop Order Reports
- Notifies physicians of discontinuing orders for the ability to reorder.
Medication Administration Records
- Provides single-or multi-day MARs.

Interaction Checking
- Each entry into the profile is checked for drug/drug, drug/food interactions.

Prior Adverse Reaction Checking
- Shared entry field so the Order Communications has the ability to enter or update information.

Fill/Catch-Up Lists
- Allows single- or multi-day Fill List for unit-dose cart exchanges.
- Allows for Œbatch¹ printing of IV Admixture and Piggyback labels.
- Allows for "as needed" printing of IV Admixture labels.
Pricing/NDC/Interaction Data Update
- Drug and pricing information is updated on a monthly or quarterly basis through MediSpan.
Free-Form Labels
- Allows for creation and maintenance of multiple sizes, formats and texts of labels.
